Tiptoe offer a variety of different styles of dance and fitness classes suitable for all ages and abilities. Take a look at what we have to offer.


Ballet for fun or for the more serious-minded, this classical style has something to offer everyone. Dating back to the 17th century and the conventional steps, grace and fluidity of movement are still found in Ballet today and has a technique which is the foundation of all dance.



Tap is rhythm – rhythm is tap. Its origins are many and varied. Americans claim its origin dates from the African Jazz age. The Irish stake their claim to the Jigs and Step Dancing. The English relate back to northern Clog Dancers but whichever one chooses to believe, Tap is as popular today as it was in the heyday of the great Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly musicals. Evergreen shows, 42nd Street and Crazy For You, and the more recently Stomp and Tap Dogs, highlight the great diversities of style and music in tapping.



Contemporary Modern Jazz is a fun class where you will learn to develop many different movements reaching to a broad choice of varying rhythms and musical styles. Classes are structured to begin to prepare the physical strength and flexibility required to demonstrate emotion through interpretation of any musical genre. One minute you may be dancing to the rhythm of a drum, the next to a funky jazz style. You may explore contrast between expansion and relaxation or learn to isolate in a slick stylish mood. Whatever the atmosphere of the class, it will be a wonderful opportunity to react and interact with other members and really dance to express your feelings.



An improvisational, hip-hop inspired, dance style. The hip-hop dance style B-boying, and the funk-style Popping and Locking, are some of the most popular Street dance styles. These forms of hip-hop dance are the most prominently practiced, and commercialised versions have been professionally developed and choreographed for dance routines in pop, hip-hop, electronic, and R&B music videos.

Dance Team


Develop skills integrating acting, singing and choreographed movement to become the all-round performer through the performance of pieces from published works of musical theatre. Whether as solo, in pairs, or in groups, bring character and narrative to life with song and movement as an actor or in production. 



With inspiration from gymnastic floor work and rhythmic gymnastics, this dance style incorporates acrobatic movement into elegant flowing routines, with creative, expressive lifts and poses. Requiring strength, flexibility and technique, Acro produces inspiring performances for the dancer and audience.




Melody Bear Movement. Suitable from 2 years! Have fun dancing and singing with Melody and Milligan bear. Parents are more than welcome to join in! Snack time included for the Thursday daytime class only.

Come and have fun learning some basic acro skills! Parents are more than welcome to join in, suitable from 18months. Snack included for the little ones


A fun class to introduce your little ones to musical theatre. Suitable for ages 3-6.


At Tiptoe we offer adult dance classes in Ballet, Tap.

We also have group fitness classes running such as circuit training, Barre Conditioning and specialist falls prevention exercise for over 60s.
